>> yes. they d it's perfect. giants won't be in the world series without the work of barry zito. this seems only fitting woe get the start for game one for the giants tomorrow night against the tigers. this is redemption when you consider what barry zito has been through. and unimaginable just weeks ago. he was left off of the giants playoff roster in to 10. and he came out of game five way league championship series. so much pressure, he won that game sparking a turn around and three turn arounds to get them to the world series. >> this says a lot about his mental toughness p makeup. i've mentioned this in to 10. it wasn't easy enough to put him on the post season. he's struggling in september. the way he handled this was impressive. and for him to keep grinding

inside of a burning home last week. the sheriff's office identified the victim as this woman, barbara, the girlfriend of a san francisco fire fighter, investigators say is he not a suspect. instead they're looking for this man, they say he brutally assaulted the victim, then set the house on fire. authorities say the killer took items then fled in the 2006 volvo, suv that was found abandoned. >> apple unveiled a new ipad mini today as expect add long with devices designed to hook consumers before the holiday shopping season kicks into gear. david louie sl s.live outside california theater. the site of the big event today. david? >> what a day here, this year, apple's ceo said this would be quite a year for innovation. the company delivered new systems for mobile and desk

role in hostage taking and acts of violence. another was over romney claiming credit for high educational test scores when governor of massachusetts. >> republicans and democrats came together to put in place education principle that's focused on having great teachers in the classroom. >> but that was 10 years before you took office. >> massachusetts test scores were among the nation's highest before mitt romney took office. but what about the president's claim romney would have let u.s. auto maker goes belly up. >> if we had taken your advice we'd be buying cars from china. >> the president is wrong when he said romney favored letting auto companies go under. he wanted loan guarantees for troubled ought yoi makers. the economy was crashing and investors weren't stepping up to bail out chrysler or general motors.
